Our Story?

Short and Sweet

We're the Piggy Family!

A family of five (Mom, Uncle, Titi, one seven-year-old girl, one nine-year-old boy) chasing a single big sweet dream, plus one impossibly cute dog.

It began, as the best things do, with a child's audacious ask. December 2025: our seven-year-old presented her uncle a modest proposal. Build me an ice cream stand, she said, so she might sell scoops beside her best friends, a sweet farewell to the school year come summer 2026. Most grown-ups smile, nod, forget. Uncle, a carpenter-electrician-plumber-handyman of rare talent, as a hobby, simply said yes. Immediately.

Titi, our auntie and a former senior ad agency executive, caught that wish midair and ran, her own inner child tagging happily along. (Titi means "auntie" in Spanish; the kids settled that long ago.) January arrived. Uncle and the seven-year-old made their maiden Home Depot pilgrimage, lumber the holy grail, while Titi and Uncle sketched the blueprints, plank by hopeful plank.

A single summer daydream had quietly become a five-month fun family project, half sawdust, half FaceTime, long phone calls, to do lists, Titi and Uncle scheming all the while from their New York home. Devotion, it turns out, travels heavy, and by rail: the two lugged some of their own tools aboard the Amtrak.

Every month since has been pure labor, pure love. Our nine-year-old rolled up his sleeves, mastered the drill, conquered the saw, logged endless garage hours beside Uncle, raising the stand board by board, screw by stubborn screw. Easter weekend, the girls went on a Home Depot mission, auditioning paint swatches like seasoned casting directors, because a stand this special demanded precisely the right pastels and color combination. Purple earned its place too, a family favorite, Uncle's beloved above all. Titi, meanwhile, conjured the logo, the marketing, the very website now beneath your fingertips, so families like yours might savor our menu, our ingredients, our story long before the first bite.

Even the name became a sport. One boisterous family dinner, Titi issued the challenge: five names apiece. We nominated, eliminated, debated, voted, until a single champion stood unbeaten: Delychee Treats, a cheeky tribute to Lychee, the four-legged muse.

Somewhere along the line, ice cream demanded a sidekick. Enter: cake. Titi, our family baker, moonlights as a baking instructor, the kids her loyal, flour-dusted apprentices. The whole operation runs smoothly. For example our nine-year-old marched up to Titi with a very official request: madeleines, for his class, non-negotiable. She delivered, naturally. Every time Titi blows into town, she bakes, the kids "help," and mom knows delicious sweet chaos ensues. So, head-baker hat on, she drafted the entire family into service. The verdict? Madeleines for two classrooms, plus school staff ready right on cue for Grandparents and Family Day.

Then came Memorial Day weekend: four days, several playlists “Queen Energy”, “Trolls”, “Avatar”, “Soda Pop” and “GOAT” on repeat, every inch of the stand painted by everyone in the family, more boards drilled than we can count. The plot twist? By Sunday, even our seven-year-old niece was lobbying hard for screwdriver privileges.

Optimal health anchors everything we make. We live with intention, purpose, and an extra scoop of rainbows. Mom earned a master's in functional medicine and is also a functional nutritionist; Titi quietly manages a whole roster of health conditions. Eating well? Never a passing fad here, simply our way of life.

Our mascot? A pig, naturally. Thanks to our seven-year-old, who knighted her uncle "Uncle Nicky Piggy," a loving salute to his arrival into the physical world the Year of the Pig in the Chinese calendar.

That's us: The Piggy Family.

We're thrilled to share our joy, our stand (little, we insist, though it towers six feet wide and eight feet tall), and a full spectrum of rainbow and light for your hearts, your taste buds, your whole day. Every sweet before you, ice cream aside, we baked ourselves, at home, this very day, all for you.

Welcome to Delychee Treats Dearest Friends!

With Love,

The Piggy Family
